Hyper-V replica done the lightweight way!

Checking out the new Intel NUC.

Using it as a Hyper-V 2012 R2 server replica in a test environment

The Intel NUC type name is DC53427HYE

Specs:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/nuc/nuc-kit-dc53427hye.html

I stuffed it with 16GB RAM, a wireless NIC and a Samsung 840EVO mSATA of 250GB with a 2TB external USB-3 storage.

The Windows 2012 R2 Hyper-V replica feature is really neat and no biggie to get up and running once your infrastructure is in place. (S2S VPN, domain structure etc)

The only caveat I got into was the Server Principal name attributes that did not create themselves. (there’s allways something, isn’t it)

Errormessage:
“Hyper-V failed to authenticate using Kerberos authentication” 0x80090303

Workaround; create them manually:
