Hyper-V replica done the lightweight way!
Checking out the new Intel NUC.
Using it as a Hyper-V 2012 R2 server replica in a test environment
The Intel NUC type name is DC53427HYE
I stuffed it with 16GB RAM, a wireless NIC and a Samsung 840EVO mSATA of 250GB with a 2TB external USB-3 storage.
The Windows 2012 R2 Hyper-V replica feature is really neat and no biggie to get up and running once your infrastructure is in place. (S2S VPN, domain structure etc)
The only caveat I got into was the Server Principal name attributes that did not create themselves. (there’s allways something, isn’t it)
